Recognition for business innovation
Avinent Implant System
AVINENT has recently received two awards for business innovation in recognition of its steadfast commitment to innovation and research in the medical industry: the Enginyers BCN Prize for the Innovative Company of 2017, awarded by the Col·legi d’Enginyers Graduats i Enginyers Tècnics Industrials de Barcelona, and the Catalunya Central Prize for the Innovative Company of 2017, awarded by the Fòrum Catalunya Central.
In recent years, AVINENT has invested in new high-tech platforms, the latest-generation software, and advanced manufacturing technologies that have placed it at the leading edge of the dental and medical sectors. This outlay has borne impressive fruit thanks to the considerable joint effort, dedication and talent of the highly-skilled team of professionals that make up the company.
As well as this investment in advanced machinery and platforms, AVINENT has forged strategic partnerships with leading scientific and academic centers. The alliances established with the scientific world have helped the company to turn a number of its initiatives and ideas into a reality, among them research into new materials that are biocompatible with the human body, and ways of optimizing state-of-the-art digital capabilities such as 3D printing and bioprinting.
According to Albert Giralt, AVINENT’s CEO, “technology gives us new options for making constant progress. And these options, steered forward by a specialist team of professionals, in turn enable us to offer new and more effective custom solutions in the fields of dentistry and medicine. As a result, we have succeeded in improving treatments for diseases and injuries that affect patients’ bone structure and their recovery. The new AVINENT Digital Health line is the outcome of these advances and an excellent example of their effective application.”
Awards like those recently received are, then, recognition of AVINENT’s ongoing commitment to quality research in the medical technologies. The company is advancing into the future and aims to help professionals adapt to the new digital paradigm of today by supporting them in adopting a cleaner way of working that is effective and which makes procedures simpler. Innovation is not an option for AVINENT: it is its raison d’être.
