AVINENT Beta Tester: collaborative development success

AVINENT’s philosophy of forming partnerships with others has prompted the company to set up a program that encourages its staff and the users of its products to join forces and work together. Through its Beta Tester program, AVINENT has made the first prototypes of its sintered titanium hybrids available to users, sharing with them the final phases of testing prior to the market launch of the products. The collaboration that has come about due to Beta Tester is making it possible to achieve an outstanding beta product thanks to client feedback, which has allowed the evolution of the tests to be monitored, with very promising results. The program is still ongoing, but it is expected that the final product will be available in the coming months.

AVINENT’s Beta Tester was launched following a small selection process open to everyone who was interested and which resulted in a list of users who went on to become clients of the AVINENT initiative. Since then, the company and its clients have worked together to identify the positive features and possible flaws in the prototype, sharing knowledge to improve the details and specific aspects of these structures: handling, materials and methods for finishing the structure, differences in the CAD design, etc.

A win-win partnership between industry and clients
Not every product is suitable for development by means of a program of the nature of Beta Tester. However, AVINENT’s sintered titanium structures do have the necessary characteristics. Beta Tester offers numerous advantages for the client and the developer, and the company has gone to significant effort to communicate this. Essentially, the strategic advantage stems from the possibility of gaining insights into the more technical details thanks to the continual flow of information between both parties. Users of the program, therefore, acquire considerable knowledge of the product prior to its launch, giving them a substantial competitive advantage, as they are familiar with handling techniques, shade coloring, design, retention, materials used, etc. In addition, the developer can also make recommendations and advise the client from a much broader base, having had the opportunity to test the new product beforehand and significantly increase the types of cases in which it is indicated and contraindicated.

An initiative resulting from a participative philosophy
Forming partnerships and establishing an understanding between clients and industry are central to AVINENT’s philosophy. In addition to the various events organized by the company, in which professionals play a leading part in their own growth and development, AVINENT is also committed to giving its keenest clients interested in these procedures insights into the more purely technical details of its products. Beta Tester is the outcome of this and is intended to cover the development of products which, like the sintered titanium hybrids, may prove particularly attractive and intriguing to users.

AVINENT’s participative philosophy seeks to create forums for dialog in which it is possible to arrive at knowledge in partnership, setting in motion an active circle of development involving manufacturers and professionals in the sector. Following the example of Sharing Knowledge, the congresses that AVINENT is organizing in various places around Spain, the new Beta Tester program is a further step towards bringing about the advancement of dentistry.

By establishing the appropriate collaborative environment, AVINENT aims to formalize its momentum towards a much more participative model and to strengthen the company’s position as a dependable partner that facilitates solutions and which also gives clients access to state-of-the-art technology.
